Ludwig “Louie” Tyrian Jr., 65, of Baldwin, NY and Charlotte, NC passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Atrium Pineville after a short illness. Born on October 6, 1954 in New York, Louie lived much of his life in Baldwin, NY, attending college at Nassau Community College and Hofstra, and working at Dri-Mark, AIL Eaton, Jennifer Reed and Greater New York Savings Bank. Louie was the son of the late Ludwig Tyrian and Mary Brausch.
Louie moved to Charlotte in 2003 with his father and lived with his brother George throughout his time in Charlotte. Since moving to Charlotte, Louie was a frequent attendee of live music shows, record stores, Charlotte Checkers Hockey and the Charlotte Roller Girls, as well as frequently attending and supporting DBSA meetings throughout Charlotte. He was a devotee of all sports, especially NY Mets baseball, NY Jets football, and professional wrestling.
Survivors include his brother George and multiple cousins, including Roseanne Lowy, Joseph Tyrian, Michael and Peter Brausch, Richard and Robert Brausch, James Brausch, Barbara Braswell, and Maryanne Vento.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16 from 7-9 PM at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd., Charlotte. Internment will take place in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) in Louie’s name.
