Margaret Marie (Schuster) Schigoda

Our dear mother, Margaret Marie (Schuster) Schigoda, 92, of Charlotte, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on October 26, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Frank and Apollonia Schuster. Margaret was a dedicated homemaker and apartment manager who created a loving and nurturing home for her family.

Margaret lived a long and fulfilling life, always there for her family when they needed her. She was a cherished member of the community, known and loved by many. Margaret will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Margaret had a great sense of style demonstrated in her decorating and clothing. She also had a passion for knitting, sewing, and singing in the church choir. These pursuits allowed her to express her creativity and bring joy to others. She also found great happiness in indulging her four beloved grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, David (Mary) and Jon (Patricia), as well as her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, and her son, Christopher. Margaret's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Margaret's faith was an important part of her life. She found comfort and community in her early years at Bethel and Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Michigan and in her later years at Davidson College Presbyterian Church. 

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Davidson College Presbyterian Church in Margaret's memory.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Margaret's life and honor her memory. May she rest in eternal peace.
