Marlene Dee (Allen) Cross

Marlene had a peaceful transition to a better place.  She departed on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.  Marlene fought COPD for decades and it finally wore her out. She was 66 years old. She has left behind her husband of 27 years, Bob, a son JD of Hawaii, and a stepson Charlie of Durham. Marlene was born in Pittsburgh, and raised in Meadville, Pa.  She could ride horses, and had to get up and milk the cows, and was proud that she knew all about farming. Her mother Frieda, sister Liz, and brothers Bob and Art. Still live in eastern Pennsylvania. There are many loving nephews and their spouses, their children, and a gaggle of stepsisters. Too many friends too list.  Many cousins are also feeling her absence, but especially Jimmy. Her father Art and sister Eileen preceded her in death.

Marlene’s wish was to keep her passing low key.  Celebrations of her life will be held in Charlotte, Durham, and Meadville later. She was always up for a party and wants to be included in spirit in a few more. 

If anyone feels the need to do something, Marlene was a big supporter of local SPCA’s.
