Mildred Swett Obituary

Mildred Moses Swett, 91 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, April 6th at the Clear Creek Nursing and Rehab Center in Mint Hill.  She was born in Kingsport, TN on April 20, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Nettie Moses of Charlotte
Besides her parents, Mildred was preceeded in death by  her brothers Robert "Buck" Moses, Hubert "Whitey" Moses and Thomas Ray Moses.  She missed her deceased relatives everyday and talked about them often.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Moore (George) and sisters Virginia Burgess, Patsy Moore  brother Johnny Moses (Beverly) and sister-in-law JoAnn Moses.  Mildred worked in textiles most of her life.  She worked hard to provide for her daughter Sandra.  A little later in life Mildred started traveling and she went everywhere and loved every minute of it.  Her favorite was Hawaii which her and her now deceased husband went 6 times.  They also went to London and most of the tourist places in the US.  She went on a Caribbean Cruise with her daughter, they went to Las Vegas, and to New York.  She loved to go to Tennessee to see relatives through the years and that annual Myrtle Beach trip with her sisters and all the kids.  Good times.

She loved going to Church as long as she was able.  She was very independent.  She loved playing Bingo, being around family, watching NASCAR loved Jeff Gordon.   The family would like to send a special thanks to her son-in-laws brother Bobby Moore who visited her twice a week.  She sure enjoyed his visits and looked forward to them.  A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice in Indian Trail.  They were wonderful to her.  We also appreciate the caring staff at Clear Creek Nursing and Rehab in Mint Hill.

Her Family will gather at Carolina Funeral Service  at 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte on Tuesday evening from 6-8 for visitation.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1PM at the funeral home followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery on Central Avenue,Charlotte.
