Gloria Ann (Barnett) Barbe, 79, of Charlotte,surrounded by her family, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Asbury Care at Aldersgate. Mrs. Barbe was born in Dudley, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1941 to the late Paul Willard and Alberta Jean(Horton) Barnett.

Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her parents by marriage John and Mary Barbe of Ambridge PA;her brother Paul Willard Barnett Jr.; her sister Diana Jean Bibby (Barnett); brother by Marriage Ronald Barbe and nephew John E. Barbe.

Gloria has been a member of Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. She was very active in the ladies circles and various church functions. Mrs. Barbe was strong in her faith and fiercely loved her family and friends and never met a stranger. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and she is already greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years John Barbe of Charlotte; daughter Janine Huneycutt (Barbe) of Clover SC; son Steven Barbe of Apex NC; 1 granddaugher, Kaley Huneycutt of Clover, 3 grandsons Christopher Barbe of Raleigh,NC.; Austin and Dylan Huneycutt of Clover,SC.; sisters by marriage Alama Peich (Eli) of Aliquippa Pa, Alice Cordes (Ralph) Rochester Pa and Phyllis Rowe (Les) of Santa Fee NM.

Also surviving are her brothers by marriage William Bibby of Aliquippa PA. and Ike Barbe of Baltimore MD. as well as her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 29, 2021, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm at Sharon Memorial Park
