Nate Stout

Nathaniel Stephen Stout of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Los Angeles CA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 30 years old.  Nate was born on July 24, 1992, in Charlotte, to Gray Stout and Heather St.Aubin - Stout. He spent his early childhood years in Charlotte and later Salisbury with his Mom, Dad, older brother Ryan and younger brother Nick and surrounded by a loving extended family and friends, whom he was close to his entire life.

Nate was the middle son of 3 boys. As a child he played at home with his brothers and his beloved Batman figures. Growing up, He traveled with his family all over the US: from Seattle, San Francisco, Big Sur, San Diego, and LA to Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta, Miami and Seaside FL, Mexico, the Caribbean and Italy. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Salisbury High School and Bishop McGuinness High School in Kernersville, NC. He completed high school in 2010. Nate developed an interest in skateboarding and filming at an early age. Upon graduation, He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream and career in film and skateboarding. He attended LACC, and for many years became immersed in the skateboard and film scene in LA and Southern California.

He is survived by his father, Gray Stout, of Charlotte, his brother Ryan Stout and sister in law Hannah Stout of Salisbury, his brother Nicholas Stout, of Charlotte, his grandfather, Larry St.Aubin, of Charlotte, his aunt, Amy St.Aubin and uncle Stan Gardner of Charlotte, his aunt Deanna St.Aubin-Bridgwood and uncle Mark Bridgwood, of Charlotte, his grandmother Millie Stout of Salisbury, his aunt Beth Stout of Salisbury, his half uncle Kyle St.Aubin of Detroit, MI, his half aunt, Vic St.Aubin, of Detroit, MI,  his cousins Jay Stout ( and wife Rachel) of Wilmington, NC,  Jess St.Aubin of Charlotte, NC, Lindsay Gardner, of Washington, DC, Astrid Bridgwood of Charlotte, NC,  Finnan Bridgwood of Charlotte, NC and his close friend Maria Ferrell of Chapel Hill, NC.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Heather St. Aubin-Stout, his grandmother, Linda Baerwalde St. Aubin, his grandfather Pete Stout and his uncle Jeff Stout.

  Nate was an exceptionally creative, caring, enlightened and insightful person. He was a passionate and exceptional skateboarder and videographer. He had 6,298 followers on Instagram, and 2.65k subscribers on You Tube where he posted 271 videos. He tirelessly provided aspiring young and old skateboarders with the opportunity to land tricks and promote their skills. His ability to capture this on film, edit and produce was unsurpassed in the field. Most importantly he cared so much for his community and would do anything for his family and friends.

The funeral service for Nate is Monday, April 10, 2023, 10 am at St. Peter Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC. Nate’s final resting place will be next to his mother in the beautiful Carolina Memorial Sanctuary in Mills River NC.

Burial will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, and is limited to immediate family.
