Nicola Coppola born on January 22nd, 1938 in Monte di Procida Napoli, Italy. He lived a humble life through his childhood. Through his life my dad was a man of God who routinely followed the church actively serving the church.
He started working at young age to a local shop until he eventually started to work on merchant boats. Mr. Nicola was a mechanical engineer did that for 33 years until retired.
Nicola married the love of his life Scotto di Carlo Giovanna but everyone called her Assuntina. Four children were born from their union Emilia, Valentino, Giosue, Carmela. Nicola lost his wife in 2001 and his first born 2005. Devastated by the loss, Nicola dedicated his life to raising Emilia children Antimo e Maria plus going to church and cimitery everyday to pay his respect to his beloved.
When Josh started his first Portofino on Eastway drive in 1996 my dad came help by washing dishes making pizza and whatever was needed. He went back and forth for a while until his wife and daughter died. He remained in italy from 2001 until 2014.
After a heart attack in 2014 I moved my dad here in states with me, at first he was working in the restaurant, but in 2020 we made the decision that he shouldn’t work anymore. His dementia decline caused to forget all his loved ones and was helped by the caregivers throughout the day. Nicola left a big impression in the life of everyone he met, his name will be remembered by many and his love will forever live in the heart of his children. Love you forever DAD.
Mr. Coppola will be laid to rest next to his wife and daughter in Monte di Procida, Naples, Italy.
