The Reverend Raymond Oliver Hall, 82, died peacefully, on the morning of November 2, 2022.
Raymond was born August 10, 1940, in Athens, Tennessee to John Luther and Marvine Roberts Hall.
Raymond, also known as “Ray”, was an ordained United Methodist Church Elder. He served several churches in the state of Tennessee before entering the world of Retirement Communities. He then served at Asbury in Maryville, Tn, McKendree Manor in Hermitage, TN, Rocky Mountain United Methodist Homes and Ministries in Longmont and Boulder, Co, and finally in 1984 began serving as President of Aldersgate Retirement Community in Charlotte, NC for 24 years until his retirement in 2008.
Raymond was a devoted husband and father. He was a friend, confidante, pastor to many.
Raymond is survived by his two daughters, Theresa (Marvin) Hamrick and Rhonda (Jim) Hill, six grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Linda (Ken) Sisco and Debbie (Michael) Creel, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Charlene, daughter Ramona, mother and father.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am both at Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 7311 Mill Grove Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aldersgate Retirement Community, Palliative Care/Hospice of Charlotte and/or Mill Grove UMC.
