From Brett White:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  When I reflect on the memories of my dad, several words come to my mind; loving, caring, fun, smart, wise, and goofy.  He took being a father and grandfather as a top priority. He was a hands-on type of dad. The kind that had a gentle touch and soft voice. I remember being awoken for church with a whisper voice, "Brett, it's time to get up for church." I also have fond memories of him playing and teaching us sports. He would teach and play basketball with us in the driveway. He would throw us fly balls in the backyard too. Such fond memories I will cherish.

I remember a spontaneous time when I was about 9 years old. We were watching a game in the living room together as a family. Dad said there was a game in Atlanta and it was a double header. He asked if we all wanted to go. Judy and Kimmie couldn't, but Judy said to take the boys. We quickly loaded up and headed to Atlanta to watch a double header against the Reds. Such fond memories I will cherish.
I am grateful and comforted knowing how much my dad positively affected my life, our family, and the lives of sought many others.  Living 3,000 miles away the past 10 years, we still remained connected. Every Sunday we would talk on the phone. We caught up on the week's events, the next week's appointments, and talked sports.

Grandson-Kayden                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         I saw a dinosaur on the floor and Papa said “You can carry it until we go and then we will put it up.” When we got to the checkout I would not let Dino go. Then Papa said “We will get it.” Mommy and Gran did not want to, but Papa won. -Kayden age 8

Kimberly Campfield                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Christopher, my mom and my dad took a road trip to Omaha Nebraska the year after Chris and I got married. We were planning to leave early in the morning so Chris and I drove the car over the night before to pack most of our bags.  Everything fit nicely and we even had extra room.  The next morning we arrived at Mom and Dad’s house early and Dad came out with 3 more bags.  We said “What did you forget to pack last night?” He said “Oh these are my snack bags. And I have a cooler.” Chris said “You know we have grocery stores in Omaha right?” Now every time we travel we load up on snacks and call them “Dad snack bags.”
