Robert Randolph Edwards

On July 19, 2020, Robert Randolph Edwards, Bobby to those who knew him, passed away due to complications of COVID-19. 

He went to join his parents Jack and Catherine Edwards and his sister Patsy Silvers in heaven.

He is survived by his sister Kathy Gunnells; his wife of 47 years, Joy Edwards; his 3 children Stacey Bonilla, her husband Jose, children Kelley, Diego, Dominic and Danilo; Bobby Lovett, his children Tiffany and Sylvia; Chris Taylor and his children Lily and Chris.

Bobby grew up and lived in Charlotte NC his entire life until he retired to live the good life in Myrtle beach for the last five years.

He was a Vietnam veteran.

He loved sports and coached softball, basketball and of course football for over 20 years for the Westchester Optimist club, West Meck Optimist club and finally the CYFL Cowboys Football team.

He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys football fan and enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends at the river.

He was known for his big heart and enormous sense of humor.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, August 1st from 3-5 PM at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte.   Social distancing and masks is required
