Roberto Cazares went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 22, 2020. He was born to late Hilario Cazares and Maria Teresa Pompa in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on July 8, 1935. Roberto is the first of six. Like so many during that time, he migrated to the United States for better opportunities, met and married the love of his life Micaela Rangel. Roberto was a hard working man, fun loving, and always ready to help others. He loved his family and never turned down an invitation to dinner. In his work as a Director of Foreign Labor, he advocated for human rights for twenty-six years. He retired to Charlotte where he spent the rest of his life with his family. He was a member of St. Matthews, where along with his wife volunteered in S.P.R.E.A.D.(Special Religious Development) program at St. Mathew Church. He was happiest spending time with his family and friends.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ramiro. He is survived by his loving wife Micaela(Micki) of 62 years; children Robert, Jr., and Monica Friedman(Kenneth); grandchildren Jakob(Kathryn), Jeramey(Kathryn), and Jessica; siblings, nieces and nephews.
