Steve Hoyt Morton, 73, of Charlotte, NC passed away September 30, 2021. He was born December 20, 1947 in Gastonia, NC..
He retired from Transcontinental Advanced Coatings (formerly Rexham Corporation) as the Analytical Lab Manager. He enjoyed race cars, woodworking, tending the fruits and flowers in his yard and weekend trips with his fiancée, Marsha.
Steve was a quiet man with a brilliant mind and a generous heart, a trusted friend and mentor, an innovator with keen insight. He had a deep respect for history. He loved ski trips, golf trips ,and the roar of the racetrack. He cherished the beauty of nature from the peace of the Blue Ridge mountains to the majesty of the Southwest.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Morton, brother Dan Morton , sister Susan Purvis and niece. Emily Fletcher.
He is survived by his fiancée of their home, Marsha Holland, sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and David Fletcher of Hartsville, SC and a nephew and his wife Brantley and Crystal Fletcher of Hartsville, SC.
A Gathering of his Friends will occur on Saturday November 13, 2021 from 11am to 2pm in the Biergarten at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Charlotte NC. All are welcome to come to renew friendships and share stories
