Steven's family had the following to say
Christian Johnston
Steven Paul Johnston. Words cannot describe how special this man was. Not only as a human, but a member of the family. Family meant everything to him and family to him stretched beyond blood. He is the definition of kindness and selflessness. Dad is a pure soul. I believe we should all realize that he was the type of person each one of us should try to be in life. He showed me that happiness is an attitude, not something to search for. He was always smiling and laughing. He was someone that seemed to always have the right advice when you needed it the most. There is a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled, but I know he would want us to fill it with happy memories moving forward. Dad, I miss you and know you are looking over each and every one of us. Just the kind of person you are. You are the greatest Dad I could have ever hoped of having and I will always cherish that. I love you Dad

The world lost a beautiful soul on Father’s Day. My bonus dad came into my life over 20 years ago. He has loved and cherished me and my children from day one. To know Steven is to love him. I know most people say that when a loved one passes. However it is absolutely true for Steven. When you walked into a room he was the first one you noticed because he made sure of it. He was fun, out going, silly, made sure you felt welcomed and knew you were loved. He would do anything for you and make sure you had everything you every needed in life. We will all be missing a part of our hearts that won’t be filled until we see him again one day in heaven. But rest assure we will see him again one day and what a reunion that will be. Until then we will cherish all the wonderful memories we have of him and make sure he lives on through all of us.

Steven Johnston was a man of many names and experiences. With wonderful peaks that overlooked the valleys. He truly cared deeply for those he loved, sometimes to a fault. However, that is what made him great! You could be at odds with him and he still would not hesitate to give you the shirt off his back. An amazing human with quite the story. I'll miss you Dad, more than words can express. Thank you for the memories I'll cherish, the lessons taught and learned, and the love you and Mom showered me with through the years. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing may you be at peace and enjoying this new experience. It isn't goodbye, because let’s be real, this family is terrible at goodbyes and it's always a see ya later. I love you Dad.
