Lucille was a one of a kind friend. We would talk on the phone and laugh about the good ole times. She loved her family dearly and told me about fixing dinner on Sundays for them. I truly will miss her. She is having a time now seeing all her family and being with Jesus. Lucy may you rest in Peace! Love ya , Marsha

My sincere sympathy to all of Lucille's family. She was a very loving, caring person, and, she certainly lived up to her favorite Bible verse: Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” She inspires me to do the same.

"Lucy", her nickname in high school was a really special lady - special friend who will be greatly missed. She went to several funerals of classmates or their spouses with 4 or 5 of our classmates. She enjoyed the high school class reunions, and I enjoyed her humor as did everyone else. She met me for lunch one day on the opposite side of town, just the two of us, and what a sharing good time we had. She was always at my home when I had many of the girls from our class for a get-together. She was a real friend. "You cannot buy a friend. They are God-given and their friendship lasts through eternity". Psalm 30:5b says "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning". Lucy has met Jesus face to face and what a reunion that must have been.

Lou was a neighbour and dear friend . We got to know Lou when she , Mr Trotter and John Boy would take their daily walk thru the "hood" ! And the friendship grew from there. I would walk my dogs Eddie and Alix thru Lou's yard , and if Mr Trotter was outside , we would sit and spend time with both of them . After Mr Trotter passed , she , Joanne( Haden) and I shared some lunches , great conversations and few movies ! Wonderful memories ! I will miss her.....and the fresh fruit she always shared with us after her visits to the market in SC !

Our deepest sympathy to The Family of Lou Ross. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor to us and to our dear friend Mr. Trotter (deceased) (TT to Lou). Both were a joy to know and though we have since moved away from the neighborhood, we maintained a warm friendship with Lou. She touched our hearts and we will always remember her and her sweet and kind heart.

Lou has been my best friend since 7th grade at Berryhill School, and then at West Mecklenburg, where we were inseparable. Our friendship continued on, and later expanded to include husbands, and then children. I later moved away, and we kept in touch, and visited when we could. We talked frequently, especially during the past several years, the last time on Thursday before she passed away. She was upbeat and positive at that time. Lou was the most caring and giving person you could ever hope for. She was also so funny, and lifted your spirits just by talking to her. She will never be forgotten by my family and I, and many, many more.

Had no contact with Lucille for many years, but remember her as a schoolmate, neighbor, and friend. Nothing but pleasant memories! We rode the same bus to West Mecklenburg School until my family moved away in 1953. Lucille was a very sweet, loving, and happy young person. The world will not be the same without her.
