Shayla Marie (Huffling) Drost

Shayla Marie Huffling Drost, 42 of Monroe passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016.  Born and raised in Charlotte,  Shayla was the daughter of Harold Huffling and Elaine (Dover) Griffin.  She graduated from West Mecklenburg HS and was a stay at home mom.  She enjoyed art especially drawing and painting.  She currently was the manager at Greensboro Pet Spa & Resort.  She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth and sister Jennifer.

Mrs. Drost is survived by her husband Harald (Harry) Drost, Jr.; son Axton Harald Drost both of the home; daughter Maria Elaine Drost of Monroe; mother Elaine (Ron) Griffin of Charlotte; father Harold (Pamela) Huffling of Stanfield; sister Christina Shealy of Cherryville and brother Brian Huffling of Matthews and her best friend Tina Robedee.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:30-12:00 at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Chlt with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 at Sharon Memorial Park.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Mulberry Baptist Church, 6450 Tuckaseegee Rd, Charlotte.
