Casiana Montero Esquivel
Mrs. Esquivel, 86 of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. Born in Cuba on February 15, 1929, Casiana was the daughter of the late Julian Montero and Generosa Gonzalez. The Esquivel family moved to the United States in 1966 and settled in Charlotte. Mrs. Esquivel was a very involved member of Southside Baptist Church. She enjoyed Bible Study class and working with the Hispanic outreach programs. Casiana was a talented seamstress and later in life provided daycare for her grandchildren.
Mrs. Esquivel is survived by her husband Rodolfo; her sons Rudy (Susan) Esquivel of Charlotte and Manuel ( Evelyn) Esquivel of Waxhaw and sister Amalia Villanueva of Panama City Beach, FL. Also surviving are her 6 grandchildren Gracie, Rosie, Manuel, Jr., Tony, Gabriel and Joey; 3 great grandchildren Alyssa, Nicolai and Gaven.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 27th from 7 to 9 at Carolina Funeral Service Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 28th at 2:30 PM at Sharon Memorial Park.
